Residents, who took part in a workshop last weekend
at the
Southside Community Centre, considered urban design issues and developed,
with the aid of collages and models, three themes: the garden, the island,
and the Guse Dub, the historic name of the space. The final design will
be inspired by the residents’ vision of the three themes and will
reflect local history, issues and aspirations. Over the three days,
local artists, storytellers, craftspeople and performers will be invited
to celebrate the transformation.
